Floral Delight card

Hi there,

I've been itching to create another card using the guidelines of a card challenge. I guess I'm catching the card challenge bug. For this card I went to http://inkspirations-challenges.blogspot.com/ to participate in their latest sketch challenge. At first I had one DSP in mind, but it just didn't feel right. After a while, I got out my Greenhouse Gala DSP and it all came together. I also was happy to use my Build a Blossom stamp set with the coordinating Blossom Petals punch. I just love this set!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my creation:

Here are the details:

CS: Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
DSP: Greenhouse Gala
Stamp set: Build a Blossom, So Happy for You (Sale-A-Bration)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry
Embellishments: Antique Brad
Tools: Blossom Petals punch

Another Challenge

This is the "Just Add Ink" Colour Combo Challenge. I figured while all the stamping supplies were out (and I'm still on vacation) I should get busy!

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/

The Colour Combo Challenge had us creating a card using Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Crumb Cake. I could have lived without the Whisper White in there... but I played along anyway.

Here is what I came up with...

And now for the details....
CS: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake
DSP: Brights DSP
Ink: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets: Three Little Words (flower), French Foliage (background French script), Whimsical Words (sentiment).
Embellishments: Old Olive Brads
Tools: Bigshot Matchbox Die (label), Stamping Sponge

Have a great weekend.

SUO Challenge... Heather's Take on the Retired Stamp Sets

OK... so I'm not really into the "vintage" style but I really got into it with this card.
It uses 2 retired stamp sets, Wings of Friendship (a last year Level 2 Hostess Set) and French Foliage (from the past Holiday Mini). Who would have ever thought to put these two stamp sets together. This card also uses the retired Sending Love DSP.

DETAILS:
CS: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip
DSP: Sending Love
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake
Stamp Sets: Wings of Friendship (sentiment), French Foliage (ink drops, french script)
Embellishments: Antique Brad, Smooch Spritz
Tools: Handheld 1/16" Circle Punch, Bigshot Matchbox Die (label), Stamping Sponges

Springtime Flowers

It's been great being on March Break and I'm loving that I have some more time to stamp and post more pictures. I wanted to participate in this week's Stampin' Up Only Challenge http://suochallenges.com/ which is to use a retire stamp set. For this latest post, I used Big Flowers. I love this stamp because it's so versatile. Similar to Heather's last post, this card could be used for many occasions.

Here are the details:

CS: Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Whisper White
DSP: Sweet Pea
Ink: Crushed Curry, Regal Rose
Stamp set: Big Flowers
Embellishments: Always Artichoke1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Rich Regals brads
Tools: 1-3/8" circle punch, 1-3/4" circle punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Stampin' Dimensionals

Have a great weekend!

Orange makes me think of SUN !!!

I think that spring is finally started to come. I can see the grass, the sun is venturing out more often and I no longer have to wear my winter coat outside. YAY!!!

Today I'm going to share an "any occasion card". This means that the layout and papers are generic enough that you can add any stamped sentiment your little heart desires. The picture shows a birthday card but I also gave this same card (with a "thanks" sentiment) to a friend.

Here are the details:
CS: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla
DSP: Sweet & Sour
Stamp Set: Bring on the Cake
Embellishments: Button Latte
Tools: Scallop Edge Punch

Have a great Friday!

A Little Bit of Artwork

So I love the stamp set Bliss soooo much that I wanted to plaster the images around my house. Here is what I came up with for my barthroom.

I purchased some inexpensive frames and inked the mats using various colours and stamp sets. Inside, I stamped the Bliss motif and added some embellishments and other background stamps.

Here are the specific deatils:
Stamp Sets: Bliss, French Foliage
Ink: Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Embellishments: 1/4 Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Antique Brads

Chocolate To Do List card

I really like the card on Heather's last post. The design is clean and elegant. Unfortunately, I have needed several sympathy cards lately and I can always look to Heather's cards for inspiration.

Here's my latest card. It's from the Eat Chocolate stamp set from the Occasions Mini. I just love this set! It combines two of my favourites - stamping and chocolate.

Here are the details:

CS: Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
DSP: Sweet & Sour
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red
Stamp Set: Eat Chocolate
Tools: Scallop Edge Border punch
Embellisments: Rose Red ¼" grosgrain ribbon (retired)

Have a great day!

With Sympathy

Sympathy cards for someone you care about are difficult to make. My friend Sheryl has a beautiful stamp set "Thoughts and Prayers" that I borrowed awhile back to make a supply of sympathy cards to have on hand. Here is the card I created.

It uses the colours Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.

CS: Soft Suede
DSP: Thoroughly Modern
Stamp Set: Thoughts and Prayers, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Have a wonderful snowy day,
Heather

Today was the last day of school before March Break. We received a bunch of snow last night and school busses were not running this morning. I think that everyone is looking forward to a restful week! Our blog updates should be more regular this week (there will be no excuses...)!

The first card I'm going to share with you is quite lovely. It was created by Ana for a stamping night at my house. I LOVE this card!

Thanks!

The winter is still here but it is so nice to drive to work in daylight. I like not having to start the day in the dark. This is a simple thank you card I have re-created in a few different colours (that seems to be a trend for me). It was quite easy to make and would be easy to reproduce in multiples!

Here are the details...
CS: Real Red, Very Vanilla
Ink: Real Red
Ribbon: Real Red 5/8 Grosgrain
Stamp Set: A Word For You (I love this one! The font is lovely and it is has so many uses!) and Silhouette Sentiments (Level 1 Hostess Gift)
Tools: Modern Label Punch (Again... another favourite that I use all the time!)
