Get Well Wishes

Happy Wednesday!

Today is a much more comfortable day. The sun is out, but the humidity is gone. :)

Today's post incorporates 4 card challenges. First of all I saw Use it Tuesday's challenge #12 to use two hoarded items. Well, I have such a large supply of hoarded items I was up to the challenge. I actually used 5 hoarded items. Next I went to Hand Stamped Sentiments's Flourish Forever Theme Challenge #77 and I immediately thought of my Fine Flourish stamp that I don't use often enough. Next I went to The Paper Players for Challenge #56 - Clean and Simple Sketch. Finally I went to Stampin' Up Only Challenges for Challenge 24 - Get Well Cards.

Hello Baby

Hi there,
I have a new baby cousin in my family and I wanted to create a cute card to welcome him. I saw a beautiful card for a baby girl on Heather Summers' blog Stamp with Heather and knew that I wanted to CASE it. If you want to see her baby card, click here. I also wanted to use the onesie in the A Slice of Life stamp set. I paper pieced it and cut it out using my paper snips. Paper snips are a must have to cut intricate designs. I added some hemp cord to look like a clothesline.

I'm also using this card to participate in Use It Tuesday's Challenge #11 - You are an Animal! The elephants in the Tall Tales DSP go well with the animal challenge.
Here's my card:

Here are the details for the card:

CS: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, So Saffron, Whisper White
DSP: Tall Tales (retired)
Stamp Set: A Slice of Life (hostess gift from the Spring Mini), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Old Olive, StazOn
Embellishments: Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, hemp cord
Tools: Paper Snips, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch

Congratulations On Your New Home!

Hi!
Congratulations go to Heather on her new house! I'm so happy for her and I know she'll experience many happy memories in her new home. Of course, I had to make her a congratulatory card along with her house warming gift. I know I wanted to use the Lap of Luxury DSP because I know that Heather is fond of the colour Concord Crush. Next I went to Stamping 411 for the Saturday Sketch Challenge 211.

Here's the sketch:

I've Got the Summertime Blues

Hi,
I had the summertime blues while making today's card. Actually, I was making the card to participate in a few challenges. The first challenge was Pals Paper Arts 101 Celebrity Color Challenge - Summertime Blues. I really like the combination of these three blue colours. It makes me think of the clear blue summer sky or the water at the lake. Next, I went to Inkspirations for Sketch Challenge #77. Then I went to Friday Mashup #14 Vintage Flowers Challenge.

Hi!

My younger nephew recently graduated from high school and I can't believe the time has flown by so fast. To create his card I went to Mojo Monday for the sketch. I didn't go to any blog for a colour challenge because I wanted to use his high school colours - green and white.

Here's the sketch:

Just for You !!!

Thought I would come out of hibernation and share the little "Just for You" cards I made for coworkers at the end of the school year. They were accompanied by some homeade chewy caramel, chocolate chip cookies... yummy!

These cards are small (3.5 x 4.25). Just the right size to pop on a coworkers desk with a treat!

They use the In Colors (Concord Crush, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade), the In Color DSP (hostess item) the Punch Bunch stamp set and the Scallop Circle punch.

This is most likely the last post until my move on July 12th. Enjoy the sunny weather!

Thanks for stopping by.

Just for You Masculin Card

Hi!

I hope you're enjoying the long weekend. Yesterday the sky was pretty ominous and we had a thunderstorm, but today is a new day. The sun is shining. :)

I made today's card for my principal, Mark. He has left our school after about 7 years. Once I saw the clean and simple design from Clean and Simple Stamping I knew that it would be perfect for Mark's card.

Ah . . . Sweet Summer

Hi there,
Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians and Happy Independence Day on Monday to all the Americans out there. I hope you all enjoy the long weekend.

I did today's card with a couple of card challenges in mind. Once I saw the Color Throwdown colour challenge I knew I wanted to particpate. It uses Cameo Coral, Pacific Point and Garden Green. It was the Cameo Coral that grabbed my attention the most. It is such a pretty colour and I don't use it often enough. Next I wanted to use the sketch from Create with Connie and Mary.
