Bold Blossom Thank You Card

Happy Saturday!
I hope that you're enjoying the weekend. The day started quite grey and rainy here, but I think I see the sun trying to peak out through the clouds. Today's post is a card I made for the Friday Mashup Challenge 12 Sketch Using the Colors Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard and Very Vanilla. I knew right away that I wanted to use my new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and the coordinating Bold Blossom stamp set, but I had to think about what DSP to use. I looked through my large selection (I'm a hoarder of DSP) and found Autumn Traditions from last year's catalogue. For the top layer I decided to stamp various butterflies using the colours and the butterfly from the Bold Blossoms stamp set. To soften it up, I sponged the edges.

Here's my card:

Here are the details:

CS: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard
DSP: Autumn Traditions (retired)
Stamp Set: Bold Blossom
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard
Embellishments: pearl from Pretties Kit (retired)
Tools: Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch

Enjoy the weekend,
Ana

Baptism Card & PPA98 Sketch Challenge

Happy Weekend everyone!

Today's post is a baptism card for a young cousin in the family. As soon as I received the invitation a couple of months agao I knew the colours that I would use on the card. The colours on the card are so similar to Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White. The invitation has black on the border, but I decided to use Early Espresso instead. Here's a corner of the invitation. For the sketch design of the card I went to Pals Paper Arts.

Black and White with Pink Shower Card

Hi there,

I hope that you're enjoying the weekend. I'm busy writing report cards, but I'm taking a much needed card creating break. This card is for a bridal shower card that I'm attending tomorrow and I am participating in a couple of challenges. I'm using the Inkspirations Challenges sketch challenge #73 and Paper Cutz Challenge #95 colour challenge of black and white with pink only. I have been wanting to use the retired Night and Day DSP that I bought on the clearance rack a while ago and this challenge gives me the perfect opportunity to use it. I am also excited to use my new Doily Triple Layer Punch and Flower Fest stamp set that I recently ordered.

And here's my card:

CS: Whisper White
DSP: Night and Day
Stamp Set: Flower Fest, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Basic Black

Razzle Dazzle

Hi there! I hope that everyone is enjoying the warmer weather. Yesterday was very hot and humid,
but today is much more pleasant. This card is like today's weather - bright and cheerful. I am entering this card in three challenges. I am using the Mojo Monday 193 sketch and Colour Q's colour challenge. The third challenge is Hand Stamped Sentiments' technique challenge #69 to incorporate paper piecing into the design of the card. As soon as I saw the colour combination I thought immediately of the Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. I was so happy to be able to use this DSP again.

Here's my card:

Here are the details:
CS: Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
DSP: Razzleberry Lemonade
Stamp Set: Cottage Garden
Ink: Soft Suede
Embellishments: Crushed Curry 1/2" Polka-Dot Grograin Ribbon, Designer Button (Pumpkin Pie)
