Hello Baby

Hi,

My friend recently had a baby boy and today's post shows the card I created for her. The card uses the Nursery Nest (sadly retired) DSP. I love this DSP for creating cards for babies. I was inspired to finally use my Petite Pennants Builder punch. I have had the punch for ages and I hadn't used it yet.

Here's the card:

Here are the details for the card:

CS: Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White.
DSP: Nursery Nest (retired)
Ink: Marina Mist, Basic Gray
Stamp Set: A Slice of Life (Hostess - retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Embellishments: Subtles Brads, Baker's Twine, Subtles Designer Buttons
Tools: Petite Pennants Punch, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Paper Snips

Christmas in July...

So my hope this year is to get all my Christmas cards made over the summer (when I actually have time to be creative). Last year I failed at getting hand made Christmas cards out to everyone due to the crazy - busy December season at school and home.

Here is the first card I've come up with. It uses the "Be of Good Cheer" DSP and "Ornament Keepsakes" stamp set and die cut.

I'll keep posting my creations... now back to enjoying this beautiful weather!
Cheers,
Heather

Father's Day Card

Happy Saturday,

Today is such a great day. The weather is bright and warm and I'm done my final report cards for the year. Yeah! Today's post is a Father's Day card. I am using up some of my hoarded stash which is the challenge in Use it Tuesday's theme on their blog. This card will be entered into this week's Use it Tuesday #33: All About Dad. For the card I'm using the To the Nines DSP which I've had for a long time. I'm also using up my hoarded stash of the Chocolate Chip ribbon and copper brads. The design is pretty clean and simple this time. I didn't want to spend too much time on this card because, while I love stamping, it's too nice to be indoors.

Here's my card:

The details are:

CS: Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand
DSP: To the Nines
Stamp Set: Well Scripted
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Embellishments: Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Copper Mini Circle Brads

Enjoy the day!

Baby Shower Card

Hello again,
I'm so excited for my friend. She's expecting her first child, a boy, in July. I attended her baby shower yesterday and today's post shows the card I made for her shower. For the sketch I went to Friday Mashup #60. The challenge is to mashup the sketch and to make a card/ project for the special man in your life. Well, I used the sketch and while this card isn't for a man, isn't definitely for a boy.

Here's the sketch:

Here's my card:

Here are the details for the card:

CS: Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
DSP: Nursery Nest
Stamp Set: Packed for Baby
Ink: Stampin' Write Markers (Bashful Blue, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Peach Parfait, Pretty in Pink, River Rock, Sahara Sand, So Saffron)

Sweet Cake Birthday Card

Happy Saturday!

Today's birthday card is for my fellow blogger, Heather. Her birthday was last week and I gave her this card. I really wanted to use the Sweet Cake stamp set that I have had for a while, but hadn't used yet. I really like the coordinating Sweet Shop DSP. For the card design I went to Pals Paper Arts for PPA135 - A Sketch Challenge.

Here's the sketch:

Heather's back (FINALLY) with ... Stampin' Royalty Challenge #121

So I've been MIA but with the end of school approaching I promise to post more often!
The Stampin' Royalty Challenge this week is to create a project using monochromatic colours. So today, I'm sharing a monochormatic card that uses Blushing Bride and Whisper White.

Enjoy your weekend!

Enchanted

Hello,
I'm back for another post. I enjoy checking out the various card blogs that are out there and I recently discovered a new one. It's Sketch Frenzy Friday and for this post I'm participating in the SFF041312 sketch challenge. I really like this layout and right away I knew I wanted to use the Everyday Enchantment DSP. I wanted to coordinate it with the Fresh Vintage stamp set, but I had to turn the layout on its side to accomodate the stamp image. I decided not to include a sentiment on the outside. I like having several blank cards on hand.

Here's the sketch:

Here's my card:

Here are the details:

CS: Lucky Limeade
DSP: Everyday Enchantment (Sale-A-Bration)
Stamp Set: Fresh Vintage (Sale-A-Bration)
Ink: Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Marker, Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Marker, Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker
Embellishments: Everyday Enchantment Lucky Limeade 1/8" Organdy Ribbon (Sale-A-Bration), Everyday Enchantment Brads
